Hello 2012

If this year continues how it has started, 2012 will be a very interesting, adventurous, and wonderful year!  I started the year in Deadman's Cay in Long Island, Bahamas to spend nine days soaking up some sun and enjoying great friends' company.  We stayed with Ruben and Deb Smith who are missionaries to this remote island and cared for their two little girls to give them a bit of a break.  Carol taught school, Amanda taught swimming & spanish, and I played the role of nanny/sherpa/galley slave/babysitter/goat herdress/driver…  However, the rewards were plentiful (i.e, white sandy beaches, 80-degree weather, teal water and deserted beaches)!  As you can see, we had plenty of fun as well!
